How to Share Admin Access on Google My Business
The ability to add or remove users may depend on your current access level. Only owners can add or remove other owners and managers, while managers can only manage site managers.
To Add or Remove Users:
Sign in to Google My Business:
Go to the Google My Business website (business.google.com) and sign in with the Google account that has ownership of the business profile.
Select Your Business:
If you have multiple business locations, choose the one you want to manage.
Open the Users Section:
Click on the "Users" icon on the left side menu. This icon typically looks like a profile silhouette or group of silhouettes.
Invite New Users:
On the top right of the "Users" panel that appears, click the "Invite new users" button (indicated by a plus icon).
Enter User’s Email Address:
Type in the email address of the person you want to add. They will need to have a Google account associated with that email.
Select a Role:
Choose the role you want to assign to the new user:
Owner: Has full control over the business profile. Owners can add other users, edit business information, respond to reviews, and more.
Manager: Can do most of the things that an owner can do, but cannot add or remove users.
Site Manager: Can edit certain business information and respond to reviews, but has more limited capabilities than an owner or manager.
Send the Invite:
Click the "Invite" button. An email invitation will be sent to the user's email address.
Await Acceptance:
The invited user will need to accept the invitation by clicking on a link in the email they receive. Once they accept, they will have the access level you assigned.
Important Tips:
Review Roles: Make sure to review the roles and what access they grant. It’s typically best to limit the number of owners to maintain control over your business profile.
Verification: Sometimes, Google may require the invited user to verify their identity or relationship to the business.
Privacy & Security: Be cautious when granting access and only invite users you trust, as they will be able to edit sensitive business information.
Removal of Users: If you need to revoke access, you can return to the "Users" section and click on the "X" next to the person's name you want to remove.
